Refunds and cancellation
What we refund, what we do not, how to cancel a plan, and who to ask when the money went to somebody else.
Last updated 27 August 2026.
The short version
All sales are final. What you buy is delivered in full the moment you pay, and we do not refund it — spent or unspent. Every price is shown in rand before you pay, and you can see where every bit of credit went afterwards.
Some of what you can pay for here is sold by somebody else, and that money never reaches us. Those refunds come from them, and we will help you get to the right person. Which is which is set out below.
Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.
Who you are actually paying
Two different things happen on this platform, and they have different answers.
- Paying US — usage credit, a monthly plan, or a web address. This is our own sale and the sections below apply to it.
- Paying SOMEBODY ELSE through us — an examination fee to a school, an order from a business running its shop here, or an app somebody built and sells. The money settles directly into their bank account and never passes through ours. They set the terms, they hold the money, and only they can refund it.
- Either way we can tell you exactly who was paid and when. Write to us and we will find it and put you in touch.
Usage credit and monthly plans
Credit is not refundable once bought, whether you have spent it or not. It is delivered the moment the payment clears, and the price is in front of you, in rand, before anything is charged.
Credit you have already spent is not refundable, because the work was done — an app was built, a question was answered, a message was delivered. You can see where every bit of it went before you spend any more.
A monthly plan renews on the same day each month until you stop it. You can stop it whenever you like and it keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for. We do not refund part of a month, and we do not charge you for the next one.
If something we did was broken — an app that never worked, a message that never arrived, a charge for something that failed — that is not a refund question, it is our mistake. Tell us and we will put the credit back without you having to argue about it.
The seven-day right, and where it stops
If you are a person rather than a business, South African law gives you seven days to cancel some kinds of online purchase without giving a reason. We would rather tell you about that right plainly than hope you do not ask.
The same law sets the right's own boundary: it does not cover a service that has already begun with your agreement. Everything we sell begins the moment you pay. Credit and plans are in your account and working straight away, and a web address is registered in your name as soon as the payment clears. That is why the sections above can say that all sales are final.
If you believe a purchase of yours is one the seven days do cover, write to michael@adminmadesimple.co.za within them and say so. A right the law gives you is yours whatever this page says, and nothing here takes one away.
When you get what you paid for
Everything we sell is delivered electronically and immediately. There is nothing to ship and no waiting period.
Credit and plans are available in your account the moment the payment is confirmed — usually within seconds. If a payment succeeded at your bank and your account does not show it within an hour, tell us; do not pay again.
A web address is a slower one and deliberately so. We register it with the domain registrar after your payment clears, which usually takes minutes but can take a working day. It is yours for a year. We never renew it automatically and we never take it out of your usage balance — we remind you thirty days before it runs out and you decide.
Physical goods sold through a shop on this platform are delivered by whoever runs that shop, on their own terms, to the address you give at checkout.
Examination entries
An examination fee belongs to the examination centre, not to us. It settles into the centre's own bank account and we never hold it.
Refunds, withdrawals and transfers between series are the centre's decision, under the examination board's rules — which are usually strict, because the board charges the centre whether or not a candidate sits. Ask the centre directly and ask early.
If you were charged twice, or charged for a candidate you never entered, tell us. That is a payment fault rather than a refund request, and we will sort it out with the centre.
Apps other people sell
Anyone can share an app here and charge for it. Before you pay for one you can run it in full, for free, in your browser — nothing is hidden behind the price except keeping your own copy and the data you put in it.
Because you can try the whole thing first, these sales are not refundable. The money goes to the person who made the app, less our commission.
If an app you paid for does not do what its page said it does, tell us. We will look at it, and we will remove it from the gallery if the description was wrong.
Buying from a business that uses this platform
Businesses build shops here and sell their own goods and services. When you buy from one, you are buying from that business — the money goes to their bank account, and their refund and delivery terms apply.
The receipt and the confirmation message will name them. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will give you what we hold about the transaction and help you make contact.
How your card details are handled
We never see your card number. Payments are taken on the payment provider's own page — Paystack — and they hold the card details, not us.
What comes back to us is a confirmation that a payment happened, which we check cryptographically before we act on it. There is no card number in our database to steal, and nobody at this company can read one.
The site is served over an encrypted connection throughout. Our privacy policy sets out everything else we hold and who else sees it.
If something goes wrong
Write to michael@adminmadesimple.co.za or phone +27 76 439 8222. Say what happened and what you would like done about it.
We acknowledge within one working day and aim to resolve it within seven. If we cannot, we will tell you why and when we expect to.
If we have not sorted it out to your satisfaction, you can take it to the National Consumer Commission, or to the Information Regulator of South Africa if it concerns your personal information. We would rather you gave us the chance first.
